Analysis of these by Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes led to identification of two enriched biologic pathways that achieved a highly significant Bonferroni p-value (p≤0.01): focal adhesion and extracellular matrix (ECM)-receptor interaction.
HSA-LET-7F was also predicted to target ELF4 (E74-like factor 4), ETS1 (v-ets erythroblastosis virus E26 oncogene homolog 1), PLAGL2 (pleiomorphic adenoma gene-like 2), TEAD3 (TEA domain family member 3), and HAND1 (heart and neural crest derivatives expressed 1) in group 18 genes, although the p value (p=0.06) in this case did not reach statistical significance (data not shown).
