The secondary increase in Isc evoked by Na cysteinate was reduced from 1.05 ± 0.49 μEq·h −1 ·cm −2 ( n = 8) under control conditions to 0.50 ± 0.14 μEq·h −1 ·cm −2 ( n = 8) in the presence of the inhibitors, although the latter difference did not reach statistical significance due to the large variation of the control response.
