The study found line-to-line phenotypic differences between distinct iPS cell lines; however, pair-wise comparisons did not reach statistical significance and concordance between lines differentiated in two independent laboratories was high, suggesting that the iPS cell platform is reproducible enough to allow for detection of consistent disease-specific phenotypes.
