When additionally controlling for receiving interferon and for BMI at the time of the SSPG measurement, SSPG decreased by 36 mg/dL (95% CI −87.6 to 15.5; P = 0.17) in those with SVR and decreased by 27.6 mg/dL (95% CI −92.9 to 38; P = 0.40) in those without SVR compared with the untreated group, but these changes did not reach statistical significance.
