Overall, 37 (39%) of the 95 interviewed patients with information on chemoprophylaxis administration received chemoprophylaxis before hospital presentation; the proportion was slightly lower in patients who tested DST-positive (24%) than those who tested DST-negative (31%), but this difference did not reach statistical significance.
