[ 30 ], in an early nonrandomised pilot investigation conducted on 6 hospitalised type 2 diabetic hospitalised with ischaemic but stable heart failure New York Heart Association (NYHA) class II-III, with LVEF < 40%, found that short-term GLP-1 infusion for 3 days tended to improve both systolic and diastolic function, although these changes did not reach statistical significance.
