A pooled analysis of 8 randomized clinical trials involving 2281 patients with STS demonstrated a slight trend favoring doxorubicin-based combination therapy for ORR (odds ratio [OR], 0.79; 95% confidence interval [95% CI], 0.60-1.05 [ P = .10]); these results, as well as OS data (OR, 0.84; 95% CI, 0.67-1.06 [ P = .13]), did not reach statistical significance compared with single-agent doxorubicin. 16 Nausea, vomiting, and myelosuppression were consistently more severe with the combination regimens.
