We measured serum osteocalcin as a marker of bone formation, and although there was a tendency of increased levels in GF compared with CONV-R mice, it did not reach statistical significance (CONV-R 304.2 ± 29.5 ng/mL; GF 350.4 ± 29.3 ng/mL, p = 0.32).
