Further, when compared with the control cultures, the upregulation of vanin-1 mRNA was extremely significant with octanoic acid (C8:0), decanoic acid (C10:0), lauric acid (C12:0), and linoleic acid (C18:2), and moderately significant with stearic acid (C18:0), but insignificant with myristic acid (C14:0) and palmitic acid (C16:0) (Fig. 5 B).
