injections of gabapentin (100 mg/kg) caused a partial decrease in GFAP-IR on both sides of the spinal dorsal horn, although this did not reach statistical significance (One-way ANOVA, ipsilateral: F 2,15 = 48.29, q = 3.003, p = 0.051; contralateral: F 2,15 = 42.076, q = 2.701 p = 0.076) (Figure 2 B and 2 D).
