Considered separately, children born after a prolonged TTC but conceived without fertility treatment (untreated subfertile group) showed a small increase in the odds of asthma or wheezing symptoms at both 5 and 7 years, though this did not reach statistical significance at the 5% level [e.g. for asthma OR: 1.34 (0.98, 1.83) and OR: 1.15 (0.84, 1.58) at 5 and 7 years, respectively, see Table III ]: they were more likely to be taking anti-asthmatic medications than their planned peers.
