Lurasidone in the treatment of schizophrenia: a 6-week, placebo-controlled study.

Patients who completed treatment with lurasidone had numerically larger decreases in BPRSd scores than the overall LOCF analysis sample; however, there were no significant differences from placebo for either dose group for completers at day 42, perhaps as a result of small sample size. For the PANSS total score (secondary efficacy measure), the LS mean change from baseline to week 6 (LOCF) was significantly greater in the lurasidone 120 mg/day group compared with placebo ( p = 0.009), and a trend toward significance was noted for the lurasidone 40 mg/day group ( p = 0.076) (Table 2 ).
