Gastroenteritis (one or more episodes) was associated with increased risk for celiac disease (OR 1.8; 95% CI, 1.0-3.2; P=0.035), although the result did not reach statistical significance when adjusting for infant feeding and socioeconomic status (OR 1.8; 95% CI, 0.99-3.3; P=0.053) (Table 2 ).
