In the unconscious condition the interference effect was also smaller following an incongruent trial compared to a neutral trial (8 versus 17 ms; t (55) = −1.94, p = .057) and following an incongruent trial compared to a congruent trial (8 versus 16 ms; t (55) = −1.95, p = .056), although both reductions were only marginally significant.
