The sentences

Most patients tolerated the treatment well, and there were no serious clinical or metabolic side effects noted, with the exception of pedal edema, which tended to be more common in the amlodipine monotherapy group (9.2%) than in the amlodipine/benazepril 10/20 mg/day group (5.5%) or in the amlodipine/benazepril 10/40 mg/day group (4.5%), but the difference did not reach statistical significance.
