These sex‐specific differences were also observed with desmosterol (HR=0.71 [0.5 to 1.0] and HR=1.19 [0.9 to 1.5] for women and men, respectively) and lathosterol (HR =0.73 [0.5 to 1.1] and HR =1.26 [1.0 to 1.6] for women and men, respectively) concentrations, but the associations did not reach statistical significance ( Figure 1 A).
