Focusing on the quality of the options, there was neither a significant difference in the quality of the first choice between the groups, F (3, 69) = 0.74, p = 0.53, f = 0.18, 1−β = 0.21, nor in the quality of the final choice between the groups, F (3, 69) = 2.25, p = 0.09, f = 0.31, 1−β = 0.57, although in this latter case, the effect size was of moderate strength and the alpha value was approaching significance.
