On base of the recently updated Cochrane review the difference in risk for PPH after CS (defined as blood loss >500 ml or as defined by trialist) between carbetocin and oxytocin did not reach statistical significance (risk ratio (RR) 0.66; 95 % confidence interval (CI) 0.42–1.06, p = 0.086).
