Using Tukey’s correction for multiple comparisons, there was a borderline significance (p = 0.059) for group 2 (ammonium chloride) vs. group 1 (water), and a significant difference (p = 0.013) between group 2 and group 3 (sodium bicarbonate), but no difference between group 1 and 3.
Although the mean values of serum lipids were according to this assumption, the changes did not reach statistical significance.
