During the second evaluation after the intervention, the glucose concentrations increased during both days because of the effect of the meal; however, when evaluated in terms of differences from the baseline values a clear trend emerged, showing a progressive decrease in blood glucose after the IH as compared with the corresponding times of the placebo day ( Fig. 2 B ).
