Log-rank testing for these genes as single markers yielded associations with outcome similar to those observed for the corresponding genes in the U133A signature (high/low patterns comparable with up- and down-regulation of gene expression, respectively, for 6 of the 10 genes), some of which were significant (PRKD1) or showed a trend for significance (ACE2, FLOT1) ( Table 8 ).
