Though the effect briefly became weakly significant in the opposite direction of what would be expected under ventriloquism aftereffect, this could be a result the less conservative nature of the analysis and in any case is not consistent with synchrony eliciting a shift in the direction of the visual stimulus under the conditions of our paradigm.
