When this scoring system was used to segregate patient samples into 3 groups of low (nuclear score <100; nuclear intensity <2); medium (nuclear score 100–300; nuclear intensity 2–5) and high (nuclear score >300; nuclear intensity >5) CtBP score, there was a clear trend showing an inverse relationship between CtBP staining and patient median survival by Kaplan Meier analysis ( Fig. 6b ).
