Although no significant improvement was detected with 50 or 100 ng/ml of IGF-1 administration after 12 h of exposure to hypoxic conditions (p>0.05 versus hypoxia group; n=5), these doses of IGF-1 showed a trend toward a decrease in the number of apoptotic cells after 12 h of hypoxic damage, as shown in Figure 2B .
