In cycloheximide-treated neutrophils, CpG DNA accelerated Mcl-1 degradation at 1 and 2 h of culture and slightly shortened the half-life of Mcl-1 ( Figure 2C ), however, these changes did not reach statistical significance (calculated Mcl-1 half-life was 139±17 vs. 121±24 min in the absence and presence of CpG DNA, respectively, n = 6, P>0.05).
