The CD40 MFI high sepsis patients (four with septic shock, nine with Gram-negative sepsis and two with Gram-positive sepsis) differed widely in the result for activated T cells, although the Gram-negative sepsis patient group showed a trend towards high monocyte CD40 MFI with few activated T cells.
