Furthermore, while some studies have found weakly significant or non-significant training-induced improvements in untrained tasks at the group level, our results demonstrate that analyzing the relationship between brain activity and untrained task performance at the individual level does reveal a significant association between training-induced plasticity and performance in untrained tasks.
