For all three antigens, we detected a positive correlation between development of memory B cell responses and increases of avidity indices of IgA and IgG antibodies on corresponding study days (Spearman, r = 0.32 to 0.6, P = 0.003–0.1), although correlation for IgG responses to CS6 did not reach statistical significance and correlation for LTB specific responses were weak (Spearman, r = 0.323 to 0.338, P = 0.026–0.054) ( Table 2 ).
