The difference in oocytes ovulated in Edn2KO mice did not reach statistical significance ( Table 4 , p = 0.128), likely due to a small sample size and high variation in oocyte number in normal ovulation, though all EDN2-injected ovaries ovulated an increased number of oocytes relative to their contralateral PBS-injected counterparts.
