Serum levels of hs-CRP correlate with BMI across the broad range of obesity.[ 40 ] Both the overweight (BMI, 25–29.9 kg/m 2 ) and obese (BMI, ≥30 kg/m 2 ) persons were more likely to have increased CRP levels than their normal-weight counterparts (BMI, <25 kg/m 2 ), more so on obese women.[ 43 ] In current study, the obese group also had higher hs-CRP levels in comparison to normal group, though the results failed to reach statistical significance.
