Analysis of individual disease data by ANOVA showed for powdery scab that there were no significant differences between rates ( F (2,6) = 3.93, P = 0.081) although a strong trend for greater disease in tubers from the untreated control than from 2,4-D treated plants was suggested ( Table 3 ).
