In general, the subgroup of patients with higher scores for all four symptoms (i.e., the subgroup of patients with severe symptoms) showed a strong trend toward worse quality of life, whereas the subgroups of patients with lower symptom scores were found to have better quality of life (as assessed by all three questionnaires used in the present study).
