An effect of stress was also shown (F (1,77) =8.686, P =0.004), but no interaction effect housing × stress; further analysis by independent samples t -tests performed for each housing condition showed significant differences between control and stressed animals only for pair-housed animals ( t 33 =−3,199; P =0,003), as for animals living in the PhW, the difference did not reach statistical significance ( t 11,7 =−2,067; P =0,062).
