Other risk factors (such as, the presence of concurrent open-angle glaucoma, history of RLC, HbA 1C higher than 7.5%, marked hypertension, the presence of microalbuminuria or proteinuria) also increased the risk of NG development by 1.65–3.5 times; however, the differences did not reach statistical significance P > 0.05.
