As a result, the double ratio of pERK/pAkt showed a clear trend to increase in all eNOS-genetically modified groups as compared with WT (statistical significant in eNOS −/− and HFD-fed eNOS +/− ), pointing out a definite imbalance between the two molecular pathways downstream the insulin receptor.
