The sentences
A positive age trend of C18:2n-6 or a negative trend of C20:5n-3, as observed in our sample, was not reported by Harris et al. , but their sample may not be comparable to ours because of older age groups and the selection of patients whose blood samples were analysed for diagnostic purposes.
C18:0 and C18:2n-6 showed a positive trend with age, whereas this trend was negative for C16:0, C18:1n-9 and C20:5n-3 in both boys and girls ( Figure 2 ).
