We also investigated the association of these 16 SNPs with baseline albuminuria levels ( Table 4 ) and found that one SNP (rs13538 in NAT8) was associated with albuminuria in a combined analysis of all ethnic groups (P = 0.009), although this association did not reach statistical significance when Bonferroni correction was applied to adjust for testing 16 SNPs.
