The sentences
With the introduction of Anti-Retroviral Therapy (ART) since 1996 and a combined antiretroviral therapy, the treatment of this disease has been revolutionized ( 2 ). A recent studies carried out in the industrialized countries, indicated a decreasing trend in the rate of hospitalization and the causes of hospitalization in HIV patients are showing a changing trend away from opportunistic infections and towards other diseases with the widespread use of antiretroviral therapy ( 4 - 8 ).
