Children with perinatal stroke showed a trend for correlation between score for the receptive language test and weighted mean laterality index in Brodmann areas 22 after the sentence comprehension task (Spearman’s correlation coefficient r = –.8, P = .059, Pearson’s correlation coefficient r = –.79, P = .06), as well as between score for the expressive language test and Weighted Mean Laterality Index in Brodmann areas 44 + 45 (Spearman’s correlation coefficient r = –.5, P = .25; Pearson’s correlation coefficient r = –.47, P = .29).
