Those who had been discharged by the study end-date (January 2011) had a marked trend toward reduction in their Vulnerabilities score (mean = −3.9; 95% CI −7.9, +0.2) whilst those who had not been discharged at that point remained somewhat static (m = +0.1; −1.9, +2.1) but the difference in change between the discharged and in-patent groups was not significant.
