Fisher’s exact test showed a trend for a correlation between recurrence pattern and PTV size (as binary variable with 75 ml as threshold); 5 recurrences were marginal/ex-field compared to 2 in-field recurrences for PTV sizes smaller than 75 ml whereas larger PTV sizes were associated with a high in-field recurrence rate, 17 in-field vs. 7 ex-field recurrences (p = 0.078).
