Kaplan-Meier curve analysis revealed that patients with lower miR-223 levels (e.g., of the lower quartile) demonstrated an impaired ICU survival compared to patients with miR-223 concentrations within the upper quartile of all patients; however these differences failed to reach statistical significance in Cox regression analyses.
