In a 10-year follow-up of more than 2,000 perimenopausal women taking analgesics, no statistically significant differences were observed in bone mineral density (BMD) alterations, but NSAID users were more prone to fractures, while the use of paracetamol and opioids was not associated with a significant trend toward more fractures.
