Focusing on individual AS events, we found that seven (Δ5q, Δ13, Δ9, Δ5, ▼1aA, Δ10 and ▼4, all of them likely inactivating ) were more frequently annotated as predominant in breast tumor samples than in blood-derived samples, albeit in the case of Δ10 and ▼4 the findings did not reach statistical significance (Table 1 ).
