Although rs700635 is included on the list of potentially causative variants, it is not extremely well correlated with the index SNP rs13014235 ( r 2 =0.48) and rs13014235 retains a nominally significant BCC association signal when adjusted for the effect of rs700635 ( P adj =0.022, Supplementary Data 1 ).
