On error trials, which comprised a smaller subset of all trials, we observed a similar pattern of results which did not reach statistical significance, possibly due to lack of power (pre-decision boxcar main effect: t 34 = 1.00; p = 0.32; pre-decision boxcar modulated by confidence: t 34 = -1.85; p = 0.07).
