In GWAS meta-analysis of stage 1 cohorts, the minor T allele of rs12917707 at the UMOD locus, previously identified by GWAS to be associated with higher eGFR in cross-sectional analysis [ 14 ], was associated with an increase in eGFR over time at a genome-wide significant level (p=2.6×10 −14 , Table 2 ), and showed at least nominally significant, direction consistent association with all other analyzed phenotypes ( Supplementary Table 4 ).
