Conversely, Type 1 regulatory T (Tr1) cells, which co-express CD223 and CD49b ( Fig 3A , right panel), were slightly increased in 4x compared to 1x DEC as a proportion ( Fig 3B , p<0.05), but the difference in the total number of Tr1 cells between the infection groups did not reach statistical significance ( Fig 3C , p>0.05).
