Analysis of the coincidence rate between imaging and pathological findings of pulmonary metastasis in 45 cases with invasive bone and soft tissue sarcoma.

Among 38 patients (84.4%) with coinciding clinical and pathological findings, the average time interval between surgery of the primary tumor and occurrence of the pulmonary lesion was 21.5 ± 22.8 months (0–99.7 months, median time interval 14.4 months), which was slightly longer than that of patients whose clinical and pathological findings did not match, but did not reach statistical significance ( P = 0.595).
