The brain regions that showed a trend towards volumetric reduction in schizophrenia (at p < 0.001 uncorrected) in the present study include bilateral frontal, bilateral medial temporal, bilateral cerebellum, right anterior and posterior cingulate, right insula, right superior temporal gyrus, right lentiform nucleus, left superior parietal lobule and left middle and inferior occipital gyri.
